Another Successful Paper Drive for Printing Industry Midwest

Tons of Free Paper Donated by Our Members

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Printing Industry Midwest (PIM), the not-for-profit trade organization representing the Midwest’s leading print service providers, had another successful 44th Annual PIM Paper Drive on Saturday, September 21. For over forty years, PIM members have donated their surplus paper to the PIM Paper Drive to support the needs of teachers from schools across the Midwest region. This year around 350 teachers showed up to collect the free paper provided by our members. Some of these teachers drove two to four hours Saturday morning to come to this annual event. Teachers have two hours to gather paper, within the first hour after opening the doors most of the paper was picked up and hauled away by the teachers. View a brief video from the 2019 PIM Paper Drive.

Our Paper Drive partner and host, Lindenmeyr Munroe located in Fridley, MN, was prepped and ready with directional arrows and wide aisles. Lindenmeyr Munroe’s staff volunteered their time to help load paper, and lots of it, into teachers, cars, trucks, U-Hauls, trailers, and vans.

Teachers are desperately in need of paper due to budget cuts and it is obvious with the passion they put out for getting this paper.  The donations from our PIM Members are saving school programs and supplying entire schools with paper product every year.

In addition to host Lindenmeyr Monroe, the following companies have donated their surplus paper to the 2019 Paper Drive; Anchor Paper Company, The Bernard Group, Carlson Print Group, Daily Printing Inc., GLS Companies, Graphic Design Inc., Honsa – Binder Printing, Inc., IWCO Direct, Japs-Olson Company, Larkin Industries, Nahan Printing, Pioneer Paper Stock Co., Printing Services – Target Corporation, Printing Services – U of M, SeaChange Print Innovations, Studio on Fire and Wilcox Paper LLC.

Teachers are always in need of paper, make sure you are saving your surplus white copier paper, full-sized sheets (of every weight and color), pressure-sensitive sheets and butt rolls for the 2020 Paper Drive.
