PIM’s HRConnectonline.org Listserve

A New Member Benefit for PIM HR Professionals

This is a NEW Printing Industry Midwest (PIM) member benefit and replaces the old Printing Industries of America (PIA) Listserve. PIM has added select PIM members who have requested to join to this nationwide listserve. You can join this listserve at anytime or unsubscribe whenever as well.

Below you can find details on how you can take advantage of this new benefit and how to join. If you have any questions or would like to be added to the group, please reach out to Kristin Pilling-Davis (kdavis@pimw.org, 612.400.6208). You can also explore hrconnectonline.org/.

What is HRConnectonline.org?

It is a “listserv”, meaning everyone subscribed to the service is able to send to and receive messages from members of the group.  At times this can result in a high volume of emails going back and forth. You have the option to receive the messages as they come in or elect to receive a daily digest of messages exchanged. Click here to learn more.

What kinds of messages might be sent?

Any HR related topic is fine. HRConnectonline.org members might send a message asking other group members questions such as: Are you requiring your employees to receive a COVID-19 vaccine?  What days are you closed for the Holidays? Where are you finding new employees? How are you handling health insurance premium increases? The list is endless.

How do I send a message?

Send your question or post to hrconnectonline.org@gaggle.email  Your email will be circulated to the other members of the group and they will have the option to respond with their feedback.

How do I unsubscribe from the group?

Click on the link in the footer (at the bottom of HRConnectonline emails) to unsubscribe from HRConnectonline.org

Do I need to create an account to be a member of a group?

You can send and receive messages without creating an account. You do need an account if you want to:

  • View the message archive
  • Send messages from your Member Settings page
  • Resend messages to yourself from the Digest

How do I set up an account?

Click the red COMPOSE or MESSAGES button on your Member Settings page.  There you can choose a password and confirm your new account via email.

How do I access my Member Settings page?

Access your own personal members’ settings by following the “My Settings” link in the footer of any message sent via your group. This is where you update your personal details, switch to the Daily Digest or unsubscribe from the group.

What is the Daily Digest?

Instead of receiving messages as soon as they are sent, you can choose to receive a days’ worth of messages all at once in a daily digest. The digest email which contains the subject and a preview of the message body for every message that day. You can  click on any message within the digest to view it and if desired, reply to the message.

What is the Message Archive?

The message archive shows all messages sent via HRConnectonline.org. You can search the message archive with the search bar at the top of the page. Messages are shown in a threaded view with all messages in the same conversation grouped together. This can be switched off by clicking the Settings icon above the message list and toggling the “Conversation view on/off” option. Since the listserv is new, there are no messages in the archive just yet.
