PIM & Avivo to assist in working with Printers in finding Internships for the young adults at Avivo

PIM’s community-based partner Avivo also works with youth in the metro area. Please welcome a new connection; Mai Yang – Career Counselor at Avivo – who will be reaching out to metro area PIM Members to discuss potential internship opportunities. Avivo youth programs provide employment, education, and training support to young adults ages 16-24 across the metro area who are low income, at-risk, and based in the Hennepin County, Minneapolis area. This is a WIOA government funded program designed to help those with significant barriers to employment and assisting young individuals in getting into high-quality jobs and careers. The youth program sponsors paid internship opportunities designed to support youth in gaining basic work skills and assist in going back to school or completing their GED. Their goal is to provide young adults with the proper tools and knowledge and help guide them towards self-sufficiency.
