Very Special Day – PIM’s 15th Annual Women in Print

Thank you to everyone who attended, to all our sponsors & Lisa Palm!!!

This SOLD-OUT event was the best Women In Print Luncheon to date!!! Thank you to each attendee for bringing the energy and making October 13th the day to celebrate women in this industry! We hope you were able to connect with your co-workers, past friends and maybe made a new connection! We appreciate Lisa Palm from Nahan so much for sharing her amazing story! She spoke about finding where she thrives best and let us know it’s not easy, but that we all have that inner fire to make our authentic self. It was of course great to hear her message of servant leadership really makes sense. Especially in today’s world where Print will be recruiting people that not necessarily know print, leading in this way will be crucial in this industry. Thank you, Lisa, for sharing your journey!!! Thank you to all the sponsors and all the door prize & gift bag donation! You made the day even more special with the prizes and the gifts.

We are already looking forward to seeing everyone next year!! Register early next year because we SOLD-OUT fast this year!

PIM’s DE&I Program Highlighted in Focus North

We are building a more inclusive workforce through this program

When Printing Industry Midwest (PIM) decided to create a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) Accreditation Program, they didn’t know at the start what it would look like, how much work it would entail, or how many of its members would participate. But they were certain after George Floyd was killed in May 2020 not far from the organization’s Golden Valley, MN office that they had a responsibility to their membership and greater community to join the movement for change that followed…

Why devote time to DE&I?

Because the next generation is watching

Our industry is battling every other manufacturing industry to recruit new workers as others retire. The next generation of workers is seeking businesses that reflect the communities in which they live. Creating a culture of inclusiveness and building a diverse workforce will help to attract the younger workers that you need.

During PIM’s October SmartCafe Webinar, you’ll have the opportunity to hear from representatives from NCCOCARDSource and Nahan who are participating in PIM’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) Accreditation Program. During this webinar they will discuss why they are participating in this program, the benefits of this program and what their first year of working on achieving accreditation has been like! Come listen and see how this program can help take your company to the next level.
