PIM NEWS & UPDATES

New Survey: Labor Shortages & Supply Chain Disruptions

Please complete by October 29th  |  We will report the findings in mid-November

Printing Industry Midwest (PIM) is partnering with other regional printing associations to sponsor a quarterly study analyzing the performance and outlook of the print and graphic communications industry. The objective of the quarterly study is to provide leaders like yourself actionable advice on how to more effectively manage your operation.

The study is conducted through the Jones College of Business at Middle Tennessee State University. Each survey will have common set of queries as well as current topics of importance. The primary goal of the Q4 study is to assess the effects of the current labor shortages and supply chain disruptions on our industry, and identify approaches to addressing these hot button issues. Typically, quarterly surveys will take eight to ten minutes. However, given that we are addressing two critical issues this quarter, this survey may take up to fifteen minutes. Your support of this survey is critical, as the more input we receive, the more we will all benefit.

PIM Powered Industrial Truck Train-the-Trainer Workshops This Month

In-person on October 26th & Webinar on October 27th

If your facility uses any kind of “mobile, power-driven vehicles used to carry, push, pull, lift, stack or tier material,” then you must train and evaluate the operators of that equipment. OSHA requires both classroom and practical instruction in the proper operation of the vehicle, possible hazards, and other concerns specific to your facility.  If you are responsible for training your companies PIT operators, this workshop is designed for you.  If you cannot attend either class or want a customized class, not a problem! PIM can also design a customized training program that is specific to your facility and presented onsite to train all of your PIT operators.  Please contact Paul Gutkowski or Cathy Malinowski to get more information.
