These courses are tailored to each company’s individual needs. Many companies combine Employee Right-to-Know (RTK), (PPE) and Lockout/Tagout into one plant-wide training topic to satisfy these major OSHA-mandatory training requirements. PIM offers training 24-hours a day, 7 days a week to accommodate your company’s production schedules. Training material includes case studies or real-world situations to illustrate the importance of safety and compliance.
PIM training programs are:
- Cost effective, high quality programs tailored to the printing industry.
- “Hands on,” interactive approach.
- Limited to one hour to minimize employee downtime.
- Complete with all necessary documentation to demonstrate compliance (including training records/course materials/exams).
PIM Environmental Health & Safety Professional Development Workshops
These half-day workshops are designed for plant personnel responsible for environmental and/or safety compliance. These workshops use a train-the-trainer approach to allow attendees to return to their company and train other key employees to an appropriate level.
- CPR/First Aid Training
PIM is able to come to your facility to certify employees in Adult/Child CPR/AED and First Aid certification and Blood Borne Pathogens training, companies can do all or a combination of some of the training. Contact Kris Davis at 651/789-5508 to schedule this training now or for more information.
- Forklift Operator Training
You will learn how to train your company’s employees to meet OSHA’s powered industrial truck (PIT) training requirements. This “train-the-trainer” workshop is for those who have the responsibility to train other workers.
- Right-to-Know/Hazard Communication Training
Required by OSHA (see 29 CFR 1910.1200), this must be provided to all production employees. Attendees will learn how to develop an effective Right-to-Know program and avoid the most commonly cited standard among printers. This course covers the basics of the Employee Right-to-Know standard, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), proper chemical container labeling and much more.
- Complying With the Minnesota Workplace Accident and Injury Reduction (AWAIR) Act: A Practical Approach
All Minnesota printers need to comply with Minnesota OSHA’s AWAIR Act. This workshop takes a practical approach to help meet both the letter and spirit of this law without hours and hours of your time. The workshop covers the five basic elements of AWAIR and how to effectively comply without totally reinventing the wheel.
