Are you responsible for training your company’s forklift or powered industrial truck (PIT) operators? OSHA requires that PIT training and evaluation be conducted by individuals who possess the knowledge, training, and experience necessary to ensure operators are both safe and compliant. This includes providing formal instruction, practical hands-on training, and evaluation specific to the types of vehicles and hazards present at your facility.
If your organization uses any type of mobile, power-driven vehicle used to carry, push, pull, lift, stack, or tier materials—such as forklifts or powered pallet jacks—then this workshop is designed for you.
This year we are offering two Powered Industrial Truck Train the Trainer workshops. An online-only workshop in the afternoon on April 29th and an in-person workshop in the morning on June 24th.
This comprehensive workshop, presented by Printing Industry Midwest (PIM), will equip participants with the tools and knowledge needed to train PIT operators in accordance with OSHA standards. Upon completion, you will be able to:
- Understand OSHA’s training requirements and performance criteria for PIT operators.
- Identify workplace hazards that place operators at risk.
- Recognize when periodic operator re-evaluation and assessment are required.
- Confidently train and evaluate your company’s employees to meet OSHA compliance.
