2027 Call For Bids

It is a long tradition for Printing Industry Midwest (PIM) members to submit pricing that reflects their eagerness to receive credit for producing this resource that sits on print decision makers’ desks all year. Showcase your company’s high-quality work by being involved in producing PIM’s Print Buyers Guide & Membership Directory!

Bids are due August 21, 2026.

PIM members are invited to submit a bid for the production of the 2027 edition. As a thank you for partnering with us on this important publication, PIM is pleased to offer the following advertising opportunities based on your level of support:

Half-Page Ad: Companies that provide a discounted production cost will receive a complimentary half-page advertisement in the guide.

Full-Page Ad: Companies that generously donate the production of the guide will receive a complimentary full-page advertisement, with the opportunity to receive the back cover, subject to availability.

Estimated Production Specs:

PIM has not finished creating the 2027 guide, so as of now we do not know the final specs. Below are rough specs. If you are outside of the Twin Cities area, please provide an estimate of freight costs, assuming the next step is in or near Minneapolis/ St. Paul, Minnesota.

Quantity: 6,500 finished guides

Printing: We are asking for one company to do the printing of both the cover and inside text.

Size Cover: 4-Page cover wrap, prints 2-sided, full color. Accommodate for grain – no cracking on spine.

Front Cover: We would like the printer to work with us and design the front cover. We would like the front cover to have some kind of embellishments – foil, embossing, spot UV, die cutting, etc.

Size Inside: 8.5” x 11” finished trim size. Estimated 68-72 pages, full color.

Paper Stock: Lindenmeyr Munroe work with you to find paper for the cover & inside pages.

Estimated Schedule:

Please note that this is a preliminary schedule and is subject to change. Our goal is to produce and distribute the guide as early as possible; however, we understand that design revisions, production timelines, and unforeseen circumstances can affect the schedule. To ensure a high-quality final product, we can be flexible with the timeline as needed.

August 21, 2026: Bids Due

December 2, 2026: Art files sent to printer

January 13, 2027: Cover & Inside Pages must be delivered to binder or as soon as they are complete

January 27, 2027: Finished guides must be delivered to mailers

February 3, 2027: Guides in the mail or as soon as possible
