Empowering underrepresented ethnic minority professionals and students to successfully navigate their careers, Jopwell is a leading career advancement platform for Black, Latinx, and Native American students and professionals. A global nonprofit organization dedicated to achieving LGBT workplace equality, they partner with Fortune 1000 companies and government agencies to provide executive leadership development, comprehensive training and consultation, and professional networking opportunities that build inclusive and welcoming work environments. A top recruitment platform that helps connect people of color with jobs in tech and startups. The Central Certification (CERT) Program is a small business certification program recognized by Hennepin County, Ramsey County, the City of Minneapolis and the City of Saint Paul. The CERT Program certifies small businesses, including small Minority-Owned Business Enterprises (MBE) and small Women-Owned Business Enterprises (WBE). The CERT Program also certifies Emerging Small Business Enterprises (ESBE), which are a subset of the small business marketplace. A firm’s listing in the MNUCP DBE Directory is proof of their active certification. If a firm is not listed in the MNUCP DBE Directory, they are not certified. In addition, while the larger organizational change or movement building strategies within which conversations about racial justice might be situated are important, those change strategies are not the focus of this workshop.
